At a recent AgileAustralia conference they posted a question - how would Agile look like 10 years later ?
Well for starters, if we use Agile in product management, we don't even plan a roadmap beyond a quarter ! The world is changing rapidly with so many new ways of working, diverse tools and changing needs. So to chart how a methodology will evolve in a decade is a long shot.
However Agile has been a game changer for a very traditional stagnant work culture - it has brought the much needed dynamism at work place, adoption of a liberal mindset and put the customer in the driver's seat. Agile for IT is the norm but as it spreads to other industries ( Agile Marketing, Agile Manufacturing etc ) it shows lot of potential. Hybrid Agile and Mixed Agile are surely the way forward !!
